Topaz is a pretty good noise remover and sharpener. I have been using it with my bird photos. I was out at Bay Area Park and ran into a family taking some beauty shots of a daughter. They were 50m meters away. I snapped a few at ISO 6400 and had a look at them back at the house. As you might expect they were pretty noisy. I pulled out a 900X600 pixel frame and had a go at it with Topaz. Certainly not top quality, but a huge improvement. If I had time to adjust settings I would have had a decent picture to start with.
