I got to thinking about a throwback Thursday picture for today. I was wondering when I got my first digital camera which was a Ricoh RDC-300, After consulting the Lightroom database I found it was March of 1998. This camera was a whopping 640X480 (0.3 megapixels.) I had a hell of a lot of fun with it for about 1 1/2 years. I was pretty naïve about digital photography at the time. Eventually I replaced it with a Kodak DC4800.
Anyway, I went back and found a picture of Ginny I took at the very beginning of my digital escapades. It was of course 640X480. I decided to give Topaz Gigapixel a go and quadrupled the dimensions. I was stunned. It was terrific. A little cropping and color adjustment and I had a great photo which is today's picture.
