Since I had my transponder certified yesterday, I figured it might be a good idea to check my ABS-B equipment as well. The way it works is you go out and fly around. ATC is monitoring your position automatically. When you return you can get a PAPR report (Public ADBS-B Performance Report) which describes the performance of your system as far as the FAA is concerned. I got a satisfactory report, so that is that. The clouds were about 1500 feet when we set out. Flying in the valleys of the clouds is great fun.
