Another vehicular "Aw Shit" today. The warning message of a charging failure showed up. That means the alternator has pooped out. We got lucky. We were five miles from a Honda dealership. When I got out of the van while it was running, I could hear the alternator buzzing. We got there at lunchtime, and when the technicians returned we were right into the shop. A couple hours later (and lotsa bucks poorer) we were back on the road. I went through my records and it appears that the alternator was original equipment on the van, a 2012 Odyssey with 215,000 miles. Pretty good.
