Ginny was at Kroger and spotted some corned beef on sale. We like corned beef. So she got it along with a cabbage and we decided to have a practice St. Patrick's day feast. So I got to thinking about what the real Irish might have for the feast. A quick search on google came up with many traditional Irish dishes. No corned beef. It was Cottage (Shepherd's) pie or Coddle (slow cooked bacon, sausage, and potatoes) or lamb stew. Soda bread would be part of it as well. I guess we need to get our act together for next Friday.
