My friends Gordon and Sandra are the most intrepid photographers I know. They are out every morning before dawn in Smith Falls. They get some wonderful images. It should be noted that Smith Falls is above the Mason-Dixon line and it covered in snow and ice this time of year.
This morning I got to thinking that I need to get off my duff and start doing some more interesting photography. So I grabbed my trusty G5X MkII and headed off to Bay area park which is very close to our house. It was a foggy morning, but there was no way I was going to be derailed from my intention of taking some photos. I came upon some cattails which had gone to seed and started photographing.
Back at the house I fired up Lightroom and found myself with a dilemma. Should I mess around with the sliders or should I leave it as it came from the camera. Many times I have remarked that photos really don't look like what I saw. Today was different. So I fixed up a copy with more color and contrast and left the original as it was. Today's photo is the unaltered on top and the "fixed up" one on the bottom. What do you think?
