I watch a lot of stuff on YouTube. Recently the series "Lewis" (a British detective show with about four murders per episode) has been on the agenda. After about 15 episodes, YouTube started putting up ads about every three minutes. In the past it was maybe a couple per 1.3 hour episode. That really pissed me off. So I skipped that one and went on to the next. Things were much better.

I am the type of person who refuses to pay for content. If it is free, I will look at it maybe. My impression is that many people get subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix and the like. Several years ago I bought a subscription to the local PBS station. It was my intention to go through all the Nova episodes. It has been on the air for over 45 years so there had to be a lot of good stuff there. Well, I got screwed. Most of the episodes were not available. So I asked these Bozos at PBS and they said that the episodes are syndicated and PBS has to pay to show them. So, they only offer a subset. I said screw them, and that was the last time I ever paid for content.

In this day and age, it is silly to pay for content. I can get most movies I am interested in from the local library for free. I don't give a rat's patoot about all these new series on the pay channels. I am swilling to claim with great pride that I have never watched an episode of Game of Thrones.
