Cooking again today. We went to Kroger and found some ground beef on sale. So we bought a three pound chub. Ginny asked what I was going to do with it and I said, "Make chili, of course." She said, "Oh yeah." and that was that. Back at the house I took two pounds of the burger and started preparing the chili. One of the first steps is browning the meat. Actually, the very first step is to pour a beer. It takes two beers to make chili.
This was in mid-afternoon. When the dish was finished I packed it all into containers and put it in the fridge. We both believe that chili and the various stews I make are best after a night in the fridge.
note: The next day we had some and it was indeed delicious.
