Ginny likes to collect rocks and sea shells. Her criterion for admitting something into the collections is, "Oh, that is pretty." Most of her collection has has been picked up in the field (we hauled 25 pounds of rocks back from Canada). In 2019 we visited the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum at Michigan Tech in Houghton, Michigan. They had a great rock shop and there on the shelf was a gorgeous piece of a calcium-enriched feldspar mineral, better known as Labradorite. She had to have it and I certainly agreed with her. It now sits in a spot in the kitchen where the under cabinet lighting perfectly enhances it beauty. I love it!
So I was walking through the kitchen and the rock was beckoning me to snap a photo. So I did.
