There is going to be a freeze here. That might happen once per year. A few years ago we had a freeze which resulted in power outages. This time there is no snow associated with the looming cold front. Anyway, Ginny got busy trying to cover as many plants as possible in her gardens. This was quite a project. Everything was covered before the cold front came through. There was a lot of wind associated with it and we found ourselves going out to try to stabilize the covers. As a preparation, we dripped the two exterior faucets and also a couple hot water faucets as far down stream of the water heater as possible. It did get down to about 18F over night. Our pipes remained unfrozen, thankfully.
