Our travels took us to Grand Junction, Colorado today. We got there just after noon and had to decide whether to take the scenic drive through Colorado National Monument or go to the Museum of the West. The weather was lousy for photography, besides we had already taken the drive several years ago. So the Museum was the winner for the afternoon activity.

It is a small but interesting museum. Quite a hodge podge of topics. One section that I found interesting was a collection of firearms. Today's photo is of a pair of pistols which the title implies were once owned by Annie Oakley. The description says that her husband Frank bought her a similar set at some time. So, did the displayed pistols actually belong to Annie Oakley? I would say that is a good question. I emailed the museum and hope they actually reply. I will keep you posted.
