We were last in Price, Utah, four years ago. We visited the Prehistoric Museum there which was very interesting. They told us about Nine Mile Canyon, a drive that takes you along sandstone cliffs which have lots of petroglyphs. Our schedule prevented us from doing that, but we vowed to come back some time and do it. That is what we did today.
The drive was along a winding paved road, of which about 30 miles had petroglyphs. Many of the good sights had markers. It would be impossible to cruise the road and find the petroglyphs. We had the whole day to do it and we took our time. The weather was sunny and warm. Sunny days are bad for photography, but we did our best. The last stop was a petroglyph panel called "The Great Hunt." The sun was shining on part of it so our first photographs were lousy. Just as we were about to drive off, the sun went behind a cloud and Ginny raced back to get to day's photo. Good Job, Mom!
