Happy New Year Everybody! Our New Year's Eve was the usual, asleep hours before the new year arrived. Today we had a great meal. Strip steaks, mashed potatoes with gravy and Ginny's famous Texas caviar which includes black eyed peas, of course. After lunch we wrote down all the good things that happened in 2021, tradition here since 1987. It took four pages. We had a terrific year. I like to fry steaks in a hot skillet. You end up with lots of good stuff left in the pan to make gravy with. I like to deglaze with bourbon. Wild Turkey 101 works great.
