My hangar mate Bloke is approaching his 65th birthday. I hear you say, "so what." Well there is a big so what involved. He is a United Airlines Captain and he has to retire when he turns 65. My other hangar mate Rodney is orgaizing a party for him which will happen when we are on our trip to Egypt. So I did some looking around for some appropriate presents. The first is a bottle of Aviation Gin. We have actually visited the distillery in Portland, Oregon. Anyway, I was out to buy an appropriate label and this was it. On the other I got very lucky. I found a large coffee mug with a Pan Am Boeing 727 on it. This is significant because Bloke's first airline job was with Pan Am flying the 727. I think he will be thrilled. He always talks fondly about the 727 and Pan Am. It is a surprise party so don't tell anyone.
