The day started for us in Washington, NC. We booked a very pleasant pontoon boat trip on the Tar/Pamlico River. The weather was great. Our driver wasn't so much on the natural history of the area, but he did have some interesting historical comments. No matter, it was very nice and we had a good time. After this we headed down to New Bern, NC, and had an historic trolley ride through the town.
