Yesterday I pulled out a laptop that was supplanted when I got a new one about 3 years ago. It is an HP Envy 17 and I liked it a lot. My new one is smaller, lighter and it doesn't overheat. So I fired the thing up and it came awake after about a year of sitting in its carrying case. Of course, there were some Windows updates to be downloaded and installed. So I left it to grind away. It did so all day. We have a very slow internet connection (3.4 Mbps) so downloading was a bottleneck. At the end of the day I shut it down.
This morning I fired it up again and let it grind some more. It spent until 4:45 pm downloading and installing. So now all the Windows stuff is up to date. Next will be the Adobe stuff. I am going to set that up to run over night.
3.4 Mbps Internet Connection is incredibly slow.
We always assume America has the latest, the best, and the fastest of everything.
My Internet speed is 75 Mbps, downloads are very fast. Rarely get a problem.
I could get faster but paying extra when it works so well as it is dont make sense.
