Day 16
One of the nice things about these road trips is that we get to visit with friends along the way. Today it was with Bruce and Charlotte in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Ginny and I were in graduate school at MIT with Bruce. It was a very nice visit. We walked around the town. Bruce is on the city council there. We also had a very nice dinner at a local Italian restaurant. After that we looked at some photos from the old days and had a very nice visit. One place we visited was the Indian River Inlet. It has a very fast current during tide changes. There is a new cable stayed bridge where both towers are on the shore. The three previous bridges had towers in the inlet and the tide eventually wore away the support. They were smarter this time.
