A busy day on Maui. It started out with a tour of the Haliimaile Distilling Company. It is interesting because they mash they use for their vodka and gin products is 100% pineapple juice. Of course they use sugar or molasses for rum. The operation is very small. Our tour was well done. We had a few samples at the end, but there was nothing I would seek out later.
Next stop was the Bailey House Museum. There was a lot of Hawaiian cultural items on exhibit. Unfortunately there were no docents present. I like to have people around who can answer questions.
This being our triumphant return to the Hawaiian Islands after 40 years, we decided on one more luau. The location was the Kaanapoli Beach Hotel. We attended this one when we were here before. It was a lot of fun. The food was really good. The entertainment was also nice. There was a guy with the fire sticks which is always fun to watch.
So today's photo is of Ginny trying her hand at an old Hawaiian game where the objective is to roll the stone through a couple uprights about 10 inches apart. She was not successful, but it was a lot of fun.
