I really like to cook stuff. Some recipes I find have lots and lots of components. Often some of those components are not readily available. Another thing, fresh herbs are a problem. I hate to buy a big bunch of parsley only to use 2 tablespoons. So I rely mostly on dried herbs on those occasions.
I have written before about baking beer batter bread. I decided to make some again this evening. I like the recipe because there are only five components: flour, beer, salt, baking powder and sugar. Additionally, it is not a yeast bread so you mix it up and just plop it in the pan after a little kneading. I save the warm end piece for Ginny. Tonight I brought it to her and she said it was too late to be eating. As I headed back into the kitchen, I heard her say she changed her mind. That warm, crusty morsel is impossible to turn down.
