A handy device to have around the hangar is a spark plug cleaner and tester. I bought this one 15 years ago and it worked well. That was until the plastic tubing inside got brittle and cracked. So I figured I needed to get on with fixing it. I called the company that made it and they said that there is a lifetime warranty and all I had to do was send it in. Well, that seemed like a bother so I asked if they could just send me the tubing and fittings so I could do it myself. They said no. When I told them the tubing was cracked they asked me how I could see inside there without taking the back panel off which voids the warranty. I told them of course I took off the back panel (two screws) because it stopped working and, being a mechanic, I wanted to look inside. Well, with the voided warranty, they decided they would sell me the parts as long as I signed a liability waiver and sent some photos so they could be sure what parts I needed since it was a discontinued item. Gosh, the world is run by lawyers. So now the parts are on the way. I will keep you posted.
