So, how does this Trade-O-Ree work? Well, there are exhibitors who are trying to sell some stuff. I am one of those. There are also exhibitors who are looking to buy some stuff. That would be me as well. On Friday, the doors open for set up at 9:00 am. The show starts at noon. Between 9:00 and about 11:00 there is the feeding frenzy. Everybody who is buying goes around and riffles through the other exhibitor's stuff looking for good things. Lots of money changes hands very quickly. My friend Robert probably went through $4000 in about 30 minutes. As for me, I already have most of the "good stuff"l that I want, so I spent the time just shooting the breeze with friends I see only once a year. Finally, in the afternoon I started looking for needs. Most of what I want is in the $5-$20 range. I spent quite a bit of time going through things and having nice conversations with people of like interests. Life is good!
Today's photo shows only about a quarter of the displays. There is all kinds of Boy Scout memorabilia, so it fun to walk around and look.
