Today we are headed to San Francisco from Monterey. Before heading north we dragged the gut down Cannery Row then hopped down to see the Carmel Mission which was pretty neat. It was built in the 1780s and was part of a large group of missions set up by the Spanish. Saint Junipero Serra founded it in 1770, but construction was completed in 1786 after his death.
So we continued our drive up Highway 1 to San Francisco and checked into our hotel in the early afternoon. As part of that process we hauled EVERYTHING from our car to the room. San Francisco is crime ridden and anything is a car is fair game. After that we headed down to Fisherman's Wharf to check on our tours for tomorrow as well as have a nice dinner at Cioppinos. We were pretty worn out and decided to head back to the room and get to bed early. I was so pooped that I couldn't even finish processing the days photos before hitting the sack.
