Steve and Ellen are very outdoors type people. They have visited every National Park. That is a big accomplishment. It is always fun and instructive to talk to people who have been places you would like to go.
Our objective today was North Cascades National Park. This was a new one for us. It was a fairly long drive. This park is around the Skagit River which has three dams on it. These dams supply power to Seattle. We did a little hiking around and enjoyed the scenery. On the way back, Steve decided that we needed a beer. He is a very good judge of character. We stopped off at the North Sound Brewing Company in Mount Vernon. We ended the day with a nice dinner at the Rockfish Grill.
Today's photo is of the group at the entrance to North Cascades National Park. Steve and Ellen have lots of photos like this.
