First stop today was Pecos. It is in the Permian Basin which means lots of oil production. The area was bustling with trucks and equipment. There are hundreds of pumping oil wells to be seen from the road. We visited the West of the Pecos Museum. It was interesting. Lots of old stuff, which is what museums are all about.

Next stop was Monahans Sandhills State Park. This is a huge area of active sand dunes. The reason for this stop was Ginny's urge to slide down the dunes, which she did. We had an interesting talk with the ranger. On the way to our hotel I managed to screw up and we had to go five miles down the road in order to turn around. Sometmes my GPS software sends us on a wild goodse chase. I have to be more careful.

It is better than snow.
It is not cold.

One is never too old to have fun.
I wonder if sand is as good as snow...

She always has a good time.
So do I.
That is the fun of it.

Aside from the gps trouble, it looks like at least Ginny had a good time.
