I confess that I do not follow sports very much. I am aware that Houston has an NFL team called the Texans. After church this morning we were having coffee with our friends and Bill mentioned that the Texans would be playing today and they would get into the playoffs if they won. Well, that was interesting. I do know that they started out terribly this year. So I decided to do something that I hardly ever do: Spend the afternoon watching football. It also included a beer and boudin feast. In the end, the Texans won. I watched the Broncos game and witnessed Peyton Manning pull his team to victory after replacing the quarterback that played the first half. There was another evening game, but I slept through most of that one. In the end the Packers lost to the Vikings. The two I did see were fun to watch.

So now I have to see when the Texans play again and make sure that there is beer and boudin in the fridge. That snack worked to put them over the top this week. Don't want to jinx them by changing something.
