We drove up to Husavik today with the intention of taking a whale watching excursion. The folks at the place advised that the seas were high (2 meters) and the winds were high. We elected to not take the excursion which was to my great relief. On our Alaskan trip last year we saw lots of whales, so the novelty factor was greatly reduced. So we went to the Husavik Whale Museum and had a great time. We saw an hour documentary about the humpback whale that was really good. I have to wonder how they get some of those shots. We spent an hour with a tour of the museum. We really like these tours because they are interactive and you get a lot more than what you can read on the labels. Additionally, there was a little lounge where you could relax, look at a book and have a coffee. Very civilized. Today's photo is of a killer whale skeleton. These guys have lots of really big teeth.

Fascinating, but not scary.
Not like the complete thing in the water.
I find these more frightening than sharks.
