It was a crummy day outside, so I decided to spend it messing around with my photos and computer. Now that I have my printer working tickety-boo I decided to go make some prints of photos that are nice or at least photos that I like. My friend Gordon W (merriwolf) has some short tutorials in his galleries. I am constantly in awe of his photos because I find them all pleasing to view. I decided to have a go at contrast masking and got some "not bad" results. I am a rank amateur with layers and masks in photoshop, so I have to follow somebody's instructions. What I ended up with has some things I would like to fix, but I am not sure how to go about it. There are just way too many bells and whistles in photoshop and I don't even know what to search for. But it keeps me off the streets and I really do like printing the photos. A print beats hell out of a screen image every time.

SO another year comes to a close. It has been good for us and I certainly hope it has been good for you. There are always ups and downs, and I prefer to dwell on the ups as much as possible. Here's to a good 2015 to all my pbase friends.
