I had to get out and take some pictures today. The weather was lousy. Overcast skies mean crummy color. I walked around Kemah for over an hour just snapping a few here and there. I was working on a photo contest and I had some topics in mind for the competition. Finally, I decided that there wasn't much that was going to work for me, so I hopped in the car and headed out. This scene caught my eye and I pulled over and started trying to find a good way to get some photos. there are pelican carvings that were on display in front of a trinket shop. The little red hat looked kind of neat. It was hard to photograph because the background was not very photogenic. I had fun, however. And remember, I am easily amused.
