We spent the day in Colonial Williamsburg. We last visited here 35 years ago or so. We had a great time. We bought an annual pass because it was clear that one day would never be enough to see all there is to see. That turned out to be correct. If you want to do it all and enjoy it all, figure on three days. That is the great thing about being retired, you have all the time you want.
There was an ongoing pageant, for lack of a better term, wherein many scenes of life in the town were portrayed from about 1775 to 1781. The actors in costume were very interesting because they would scatter through the crowd and talk with the visitors, staying in character all the time. It was very well done and we learned a lot from the experience.
Today's photo is of General Henry Knox, the talented artillery commander, addressing one of his troops.
