We decided to hit the trail down to Dover, the capital of Deleware. The weather was pretty nice and we met up with some friends who we met on our Canada adventure. Dover is not a very big town. The legislature was not in session. The town was deserted. So we went around to see the Legislative Hall and old courthouse without any problems. We met some more friends for lunch and then spent the afternoon at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB. The person we met at lunch is a retired chief master sergeant in the US Air Force and also a volunteer at the museum. We got a two hour tour of the static display outside as well as the stuff inside. This guy knew all the airplanes, even their tail numbers. He was a structural maintenance guy when he was in the Air Force. So I was a very happy camper. This was a good day.
