We had a short road trip up to the Long Beach peninsula in Washington. It is right across the river from Astoria. We walked around for a while and took in some interesting Lewis and Clark sights. I had done some research on Trip Advisor to find a good place to get Fish and Chips (as you will remember, Ginny judges a restaurant by the quality of its fish and chips.) We ended up at the Castaways. There was another shop near by, but they didn't serve beer. So we had a nice lunch and I enjoyed a nice Fort George Vortex IPA.
