We traveled from Rotorua to Auckland today. On the way we stopped at the Waitomo glow worm caves. I can hear you thinking "will the excitement ever end?" These turned out to be pretty neat. These glow worms attach to the top of the caves and they glow just like fireflies, except they stay put. They drop little tendrils which snag passing bugs for their food. The caves were pretty neat as well. Anyway, at the end you board a boat and are pulled through the cave in total darkness. There are millions of the glow worms on the ceiling and it looks like the stars on a clear night. Very nice. Here Ginny is exiting the boat.
