Among other things today, we visited the International Antarctic Center in Christchurch. This was a very interesting place. They fed penguins, had nice exhibits and had a cold room where you could put on a parka and experience an antarctic storm. The very best thing, however, was a ride in a Hagglund, the vehicles they use in the antarctic. We actually did it twice. We went the second time because Ginny wanted to sit int he front seat. Here she is, in the front seat of the Hagglund just before we departed for the second time.
