Pat called this evening with an urgent request for a wine and whine session (girls call this therapy). So she showed up and I offered her a glass of wine which she readily accepted. Unfortunately, Ginny had a student in for tutoring, so she couldn't immediately join the party. When Ginny was at last free we headed down to the kitchen and enjoyed some therapy. Pat had brought us some goodies from her trip to Ireland and Spain. She brought some olives which Ginny had prepared according to Pat's recipe. They were really good. Among the other goodies she brought was a box of wine. In the US fruit juices come in such boxes. We think of box wine as being several liters of some inexpensive table wine. Anyway, the girls poured some into their glasses, but I decided to try it right out of the box, which is the manly way to consume beverages such as this. It was pretty good. After this I headed upstairs to get out of the line of fire. Pat had to work in the morning, so the session didn't last until the wee hours.
