Robert posted an item on his blog today: http://robert1083.blogspot.com/2010/01/carlton-cat.html
That photo got me thinking about a photo I had scanned recently of him with the neighbor's cat when he was about 7 years old. I found it quickly (I love Lightroom's database) and sent it to him. Nice blast from the past.

A quick check of the record books:
Ski Jumping - only 1 bronze medal ever.
Hockey - dominated by Russians and Canadians. US has 2 gold, but leads in overall medals with 21
Downhill - Austria dominates, of course. Us 4th with 12 golds and 4th overall with 31 medals.
Snowboarding - Tied with Switzerland with 5 golds, but lead with 14 medals overall.
speed skating - leads with 28 golds and 3rd overall with 63 medals
Figure Skating - leads with 13 golds and leads overall with 44 medals.
not bad, I would say.

I saw Robert is looking forward to the Olympics and US world domination in winter sports. I suppose that's true if you don't count hockey, downhill skiing, snowboarding, speedskating, figure skating and ski jumping as winter sports.
