I went out for a nice flight this morning. The hangar down the way was open. Here is a view of the inside. This is what happens when you run the engine on a Pitts without benefit of oil.

This happens a lot to car engines when you park in certain places in London.
Turn your back, and there it is, gone.

It looks as if the engine evaporated.

Obviously that was the case. But you wonder how it got back on the line without oiil.

How does that happen? Did the operator not check before cranking?
