As I mentioned in the other photo from today, I did some maintenance on David's car today. It wasn't terribly difficult work. Just a little hard to reach some things, especially when the engine was still hot.
As you can see in this photo, I am reaching down inside the car to put the distributor cap on. You will note that this is a photo of the south end of me. Therefore, I did not actually take the photo. You will note the presence of some boots in the foreground. They are attached to Bloke who is seated a safe distance away from the work being done. As you well know, pilots tend to stay a long way from the location of any work being done. For those of us who engage in skilled labor like fixing airplanes and cars, we are quite thankful that they keep their distance. The last thing you would ever want to see is a pilot walking AWAY from an airplane with a screwdriver in his hand, especially if you intend to fly that particular airplane.
Now, I want to acknowledge the unselfish assistance of my hangar mate, Bloke. "Thanks a lot, Bloke"
