My son David who just graduated from Georgia Tech is heading to Chicago to take up a job. He is here with us for about a month. I decided that we would spend the time and money needed to be sure his car is in top shape. I had some work done at the local maintenance shop (water pump, timing belt, etc.) because I don't want to mess with that stuff. Anyway, I pulled a plug and noted that it was in need of replacement. I figured with 135,000 miles on it, the car could use new wires, distributor cap and rotor as well. So I got the stuff together and went out to the hangar to do the job. I inspected the parts I removed, and it was clear that replacement was in order. Things were pretty well burned out. Now David can have some confidence his car will be working fine.
