The pre-dreadnought battleship USS Texas
Commissioned in 1895, as a result of several accidents during construction and early in her career she acquired the nickname "Old Hoodoo", she saw service during the Spanish–American War.
She was renamed USS San Marcos in Feb 1911 to allow the Texas name to be used for a new battleship under construction the USS Texas (BB-35), she was sunk as a gunnery target in Mar 1911
