From a small collection of German military photos from WW1
I'm guessing this is some sort of command building, the sign on the left hand side of the building says "Ortskomandantur" (Google translate doesn't recognize the word), a military stretcher is propped against the wall, looks like a soldier in one of the upper windows and a car can be seen in the garage.
