Scanned from a stereoview from the 1870's
A view of Tip Top House which was adjacent to the summit of Mt Washington (6,288 feet, 1,917 m) in New Hampshire
Originally built in 1853 as a hotel with a flat roof, the peaked roof was added in the early 1860's
Later in life it served as a printing office, after falling into disrepair the building was renovated to it's original configuration in 1987 and is now a state historic site
