I'm guessing from the winter of 1939/40 is shows a Fairy Battle with protective covers parked in the snow
The Fairey Battle was a light bomber operated by 26 RAF squadrons early in WW2 most were withdrawn from front line service by the end of 1940 were relegated to a training roll.
