Titled The Critic it shows Mrs. George Washington Kavanaugh and Lady Decies entering a gala event at the Metropolitan Opera House. The photo was partially staged as Weegee had the intoxicated woman on the right brought to the scene from a Bowery bar to highlight social inequality.
