The International Exhibition of 1862

An interesting one from one of my older stereo cards..
A hand tinted view of the nave from the eastern dome from the International Exhibition held in London in 1862.
Photograph probably taken by William England of the London Stereoscopic & Photographic Co.

Of interest...
The London Stereoscopic Co name was purchased many years ago by Brian May, lead guitarist with Queen.
Brian May has been using a stereo camera for many years and the company produces stereo views of Queen concerts, yes you can see Freddy Mercury in full 3D from original stereo photographs.

The international exhibition was also a major achievement in architecture.
