That would be uncle Jim.
He was not an uncle, but thats what we called him.
It was a 14ft sailing boat, but when we went for a trip in it, he removed the mast and sails and put a 6hp Seagull outboard motor on it.

which uncle was it that had a boat moored here? I remember going out in it once, it was only a rowing boat with a tiny outboard motor on it. It was the first time I had been on the river. I was very young.
