My Grandad(RIP), Henry.R.T.Beer BEM, built this monument on Dover seafront. He was Foreman of Works at Dover Castle, and has worked on many historic buildings including the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, Dover Town Hall, to name a few. He was awarded the British Empire Medal for 50 years service by HRH the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
