I met Paddy in 1964 and then again in 1965, when I was student. Philip Mills employed quite a lot of students in the summer to cover staff holidays. Back to Paddy. He was a clever man, great story teller, loved reading and always carried a book in a back pocket. His great ambition was to be writer. He certainly got some recognition as a writer at least once, when a then famous literary magazine ENCOUNTER published an article by him. The article, as I remember it, was about his friend, Brendan Behan ON a night out to be remembered. Does anyone remember what happened to Paddy? Did he achieve his goal? I hope so.
