A houseboat moored against the Middlesex bank.

Isleworth Ait

The boat on the left is a converted Thames Dumb Barge.
These are very popular as boats to covert because of their size (huge) and their rugged construction.

other sizes: small medium large auto

Jason, on a hot day there is a unique, powerful smell of Thames mud here.
Obviously not bad enough to discourage house boats being moored, and flats being built.
I could be tempted myself, its a lovely place.

I do like house boats, but I wonder if the smell at low tide is as lovely as it looks?
