I've recently Photografed a male Red-footed Falcon very far from it's migration routes, nesting places or distribution area, in the Azores archipelago, in the NW Atlantic (38ºN and 28ºW). The sighting was made in a clear field, used a few days before by a circus (there should be many insects in the area) and a day after a storm. A female specimen was found in the same week in another island only 9 miles from Pico Island, were the sighting was made, but she was very weak and eventualy died, beside the efforts of the environmental services.
