The photo series in this gallery are works-in-progress. I am attempting to photograph a variety of subjects in a series which moves from "what it is" to a "calling forth" of it to speak its essence. In these attempts I am reminded of a saying I learned long ago: "I never know what I think, until I hear what I say." So here; I have not as yet been able to accomplish what I seek to do, but unless I keep trying, I won't discover what I am seeking.
